NFL quarterback abandons fiancee at the altar hours before their Caribbean destination wedding

The runaway groom was quick to squelch rumours that he had left his fiance at the altar and he told The Washington Post: "I love her enough not to leave her at the altar, I love her enough to talk to her before it gets that far."

Despite all the rumoured animosity, the couple seem to remain on good terms regardless as they are still together in the Dominican Republic with her family and simply decided to turn all destination wedding plans into a relaxing holiday. In Campbell's own words, they "just made a vacation out of it".

Before the wedding's abrupt cancellation the pair had been quite open about their relationship and talked about their wedding plans and how they had decided to opt for destination weddings in the Dominican Republic since Ms Montes was a Dominican-born native. Nine Couples Exchange Vows in the buff at Mass Nude Weddings in Jamaica

When it comes to planning their big day, most brides dream of wearing a flowing white dress that makes them look and feel like a princess. However, nine brides decided to ditch the wedding dress completely as they took part in a mass nudist wedding in Jamaica. The simultaneous Jamaica weddings where an exhibitionist or nudist's dream come true as all nine couple exchanged vows in nothing but their birthday suits.

The ceremony took place on Valentine's Day at the Hedonism II resort in Negril, Jamaica after ten couples were selected out of the 100 American and Canadian hopefuls who had entered the nude destination weddings competition.

The prize included a complimentary hen/stag party, the entire cost of the wedding held on 14th February, 2012, and four nights' accommodation at the Hedonism II Resort.

Ten couples were selected for the nude Jamaica weddings, which were filmed by TV crew, but one couple dropped out just before the big day.

One blushing bride and groom, Kevin Young and Shannon Witherspoon from Florida, said that they were used to walking around in the nude because they live in a nudist community.

"It was easy for us ‘cause we're used to it, Kevin explained. "But some of these other people had never been naked before outside their bedroom. I got to give them kudos, because they really stepped up and did the Full Monty thing and got naked."

One of the novice nudists was Milly Salas, a 39-year-old, mum from Bergen County, New Jersey, who had never visited a nudist resort before.

"It was beautiful. It was like a fairy tale," Salas said after the ceremony.

The Hedonism II Resort is renowned for its nude beach weddings and it currently holds the world record for the largest mass nude wedding, which took place in 2003.

The resort is situated on 22 acres of tropical land in Negril and guests can enjoy direct access to the beautiful seven-mile beach which boasts white sands and turquoise ocean waters. The resort has 280 rooms and 12 suites with garden or ocean views. The suites offer private Jacuzzis and terraces that provide an intimate setting for couples who are celebrating weddings in Jamaica or romantic honeymoons.

Couples getting married in Jamaica can choose from the selection of pristine beaches for their ceremonies or they can exchange vows amidst the lush fragrant gardens and depending on the hotel resort they choose as their wedding venue, wedding attire is optional.
