2012 Valentines: Part One

Have you made your Valentines yet?  We had a sister-brother-sister Valentine making party this week!  It was so much fun!  We went to Michaels, bought way too many supplies, and spread out in the basement.  Mom, if you're reading this-- Sorry we used all of your scrapbook adhesive tape!
Don't ask why it didn't seem appropriate to take a picture of us in action, before, or after... So this summer picture with a few hearts will have to suffice.  Note: Megan (left) would like it acknowledged that she is 8 months pregnant with baby Ivy in this photo.

Here is the first batch of Valentines I made:
For this Valentine I used Martha adhesive felt ribbon, a red heart doily, a kraft paper circle, red paper heart, and a glittery, metal heart sticker.  I used scrapbook adhesive tape to fix the doily to the card.  It worked like a charm!!!  The red paper heart is from the Martha Punch-All-Over-The-Page stamp.  I splurged on the $18 stamp with my coupon and I'm so happy I did.  The Valentine's I used it on turned out so cute!!!
I used my Martha Valentine's stamp from her kit, some striped scrapbook paper, and scrapbook adhesive taped two strips of ribbon on this card.
I used red scrapbook paper, Martha adhesive felt ribbon, a LOVE heart stamp from the Martha Valentine's kit on cream paper, and a scallop punch.
I found really cute cupcake stickers on sale at Michael's.
I love these white heart stickers from Martha.  I stuck a glittery, metal heart sticker on top of the white hearts.  Then I used a glue pen and glitter to make the stems and finished the card with a strip of adhesive felt ribbon.
Embossed LOVE stamp and felt ribbon.
Pink scrapbook paper, red heart doily, metal heart sticker, squirrel stamp from Martha's Valentine's kit, and a little glitter.
Red bird stamp from Martha's Valentine's kit and a red doily.
I used two tiny candy canes to make a heart and glued them to dusty pink scrapbook paper.
I used red scrapbook paper, a strip of pink paper, and a really cute cupcake sticker.
This card uses the striped scrapbook paper, red doily, and a pink, glittery metal heart sticker.

Megan and I have a lot of similar cards.  She would make one and I would say, "Oh I have to make that one!" and vice versa!

Bryson made 3 Valentines for his favorite girls: Lauren, Sadie, and Tess.  They were so adorable.  I really wish I took a picture!  He hand stamped their names on the envelopes using different color ink for each letter.

I'll post the other half of my cards on Monday.  Have a great weekend!!!

xoxo,
Ashley

P.S.  Garrett Update:

You have probably been wondering why Mister G has been not popping up on the blog lately?  I'm embarrassed to say that it is because Mister G is stinky and dirty!
Here's an iPhone pic from halfway through the grooming process... After he chewed my handmade flower hair clip into a mangled mess :/  He really doesn't like baths and haircuts-- just about as much as I dislike grooming him!
