I know this movie has been out on DVD for a while, but I like watching it and wanted to do a review.
Its a movie set in the glamorous world of New York City, Rebecca Bloomwood (played by Isla Fisher) is a fun, loving girl who is really good at shopping. Actually she is obsessed with shopping.
She dreams of working for her favorite fashion magazine, but can’t quite get her foot in the door until one day, she lands a job as an advice columnist for a financial magazine published by the same company. As her dreams are finally coming true, she goes to ever more hilarious and extreme efforts to keep her past from ruining her future.
Thats right she has credit card debts well over her head, from all that shopping she loves to do, that she is now being followed by a debt collector. The movie takes you through all her lies, and avoidances to not get caught by the debt collector.
This movie has a good storyline and a good lesson to learn from. If your a shopaholic, you need to stop now!It shows how out of control a shopping addiction can get, but also shows that you can change your habits.
Its one of those movies that you will either love or hate, there has been a mixed response on what people think of this movie, from what I've read. Its based on the book by Sophie Kinsella, which I haven't read yet.
For me I think its a entertaining, funny, and catchy storyline.
What did you think of this movie?
