Getting Fresh at the Farm

Yesterday I visited my local farm for my weekly new town adventure.
I went at about 4 o'clock and the sun was just beginning to set- casting a net of golden amber light on the farm.
There were so many plants!
The farm was absolutely picturesque.  Mister Rooster guarded the nest while Mrs. Hen laid her eggs.
I picked out a dozen (and Instagramed them).
Two piggies were taking their afternoon siesta.
Three ducks were mingling.
This sweet goat was terribly itchy and so happy to have me scratch behind his horns.
He licked my legs!
His lovely lady friend was just a doll.
I had such a beautiful time at the farm and brought home a bounty of fresh goodies:
A dozen eggs
A two-pound honey crisp apple for Johnny and me to share
A pomegranate
Two lemons
Three limes
And a Florida avocado (which is much larger and different looking than your standard Haas avocado)

Thursday has the best prices, but Friday has the best selection.  I plan to go to the farm next Friday and pick up lots of leafy greens and veggies.
