Karly Zendejas Photography also shared the couple's engagement photo shoot to go along with their story.
It is often said that "love will find you when you least expect it." Two people were living their lives on exact opposite coasts, until they met one fateful day. They went to the same performing arts school, but Josh in Los Angeles and Jacqueline in New York City. Due to a mutual friend, the two met while Josh was on tour for two weeks in New York. The two hit it off instantly. Josh took from it, a great experience with a great girl and knew she would be the girl for him. Jacqueline on the other hand, had taken Josh's heart and didn't even know it. As Josh returned to California, they kept in touch over the next 9 months till Josh returned to New York to do an off broadway show. From there it was happily ever after. Their relationship was slightly common, until Josh moved back to California and joined the Marine Corps. This put huge stress on the relationship for months, so the night before Josh left for boot camp, Jacqueline was sure things were over for good.
Two weeks later, and for the next 2 months, she received a hand written love letter every day from him. She knew then that their bond was unbreakable. After Josh graduated from boot camp, they spent time with his family in California, and then returned to New York for a week together. Of course the whole time, Jacqueline was expecting for him to pop the question! She calculated every day if that day would be "the day." Finally on his last night in town, Super Bowl Sunday to be exact, they spend the evening with a ton of friends enjoying the game.
She then realized, it wasn't going to happen. That night, as they lay in bed watching tv, he rolled over and said. "I love you. And I want you to be my wife." She replied, "I know, when the time is right, it will happen." "No, I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" Laying face to face on their sides, she looked into his eyes for a second and then laughed, "Are you kidding?" Straight faced, Josh assured her again, and she said, "YES!". The next day, they headed to Tiffany & Co where they toasted champange and had the ring fitted. To this day they are still amazed at their own story, and how love found THEM.
